Risg, i have the same pc, was running windows xp-pro, upgradied to 64 bit windows 7-pro, and experienced the same problem. the dell support/drivers download site had the drivers which was the solution. the chipset - intel drivers dell recommends fixed the problem.. Windows install would cause some driver issues, so you can check if there is any driver problem caused after installing windows 7. go to device manager to check for the driver status. in device manager, if you see a yellow mark next to the device, the driver is having a problem.. A required cd/dvd device driver is missing 1) change bios boot order - the most successful fix for this issue is to set the optical (dvd) drive as the first boot device in the bios..
